Privacy Policy

Protech-T is built on a single principle: your data is yours, and it never leaves your device unencrypted. This policy explains what the Protech-T app and this website do — and, more importantly, what they deliberately do not do.

The app collects nothing

Everything you store in Protech-T — photos, files, contacts, notes, passwords, voice notes and more — is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your passcode. We never receive that key and we never receive your data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs harvesting usage.

• No account is required to use the on-device vault.
• No cloud sync by default. Your content stays on your phone.
• No backups to iCloud or iTunes — vault data is explicitly excluded.
• Nothing is indexed by Spotlight or Siri.

Forgotten passcodes cannot be recovered

Because we never hold your encryption key, we cannot reset it or recover your data if you forget your passcode. This is a security feature, not a limitation. Likewise, the panic-code feature is designed to irreversibly erase your data on demand.

Encrypted communication & backup (when enabled)

Planned features — encrypted Chat, Call and Mail, and optional Cloud Backup — are end-to-end encrypted. Messages are secured with the Signal Protocol and any backup is encrypted on your device before it is uploaded. Relay servers only ever handle ciphertext; we cannot read your messages or your backups. These features are not yet available; this policy will be expanded with specifics before they ship.

This website

This site is a pre-launch page. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. The only data it can collect is the information you choose to give us:

• Waitlist email. If you submit your email address, we store it (via our backend provider, Supabase) solely to notify you when Protech-T launches. We do not sell, rent or share it. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing support@protech-t.app.
• Referral tag. If you arrive via a referral link, a short campaign tag may be stored alongside your email to understand where signups come from. It contains no personal information beyond that.

Your email is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored on infrastructure protected so that the public website cannot read the list back.

Children

Protech-T is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as features ship. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
